Last Friday a woman, who regularly sexually abused her younger brother when he was aged between 9 and 11 years old, was sentenced to a paltry 6 months in prison.

What a disgustingly lenient sentence and a disgraceful insult to the victim who had tried to commit suicide when he was 12.

If a man, when he was between 19 and 21 years of age, used has vulnerable younger sister of 9 years for his own sexual gratification for 2 years he would have been sentenced to at least 5 years or more.

Why the difference in sentences?

The answer is simple. The perpetrator was a woman and women offenders are always treated more leniently than men.

Clean Hands Justice is calling on the Director of Public Prosecutions to immediately appeal the leniency of this ridiculously soft sentence.
